We would like to acknowledge the sacred land on which we are a guest on this part of Turtle Island as we carry out our work. Rexdale Women’s Centre is currently inhabiting the traditional territory of Petun, Wendake-Nionwentsïo, Anishinabewaki, Haudenosaunee, and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. First Nations people have lived on this land since time immemorial. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit.
