WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS
Belonging begins
with support.
“If you believe in the strength of immigrant communities and the power of diversity in Rexdale, we need your support.”
For years, Rexdale Women’s Centre has stood alongside newcomers and families in our community.
Many people face food insecurity, difficulty finding safe housing, barriers to employment and the challenge of navigating unfamiliar systems.
Support helps sustain essential programs and services so families can build stability and connection in Canada.
OUR COMMUNITY
Rooted in Rexdale.
Open to new beginnings.
In Mount Olive–Silverstone–Jamestown and across Rexdale, newcomers bring skills, ideas and community spirit. Responsive local services help them take their next steps.
A NEWCOMER STORY
Damaris found her voice
and a community.
When Damaris arrived in Canada, even everyday conversations felt difficult. Through LINC English classes and parenting programs at Rexdale Women’s Centre, she practised English, learned how to support her children through the transition and made connections in her new community.
“When my kids speak English with me, I feel happy with that.”
Her story is one example of what steady, personal support can make possible.
