LINC
Childminding: This programme is available to parents
with children from 6 months to 5 years of age who are registered
and attending the LINC programme. Children participate in
daily activities such as reading, story telling, singing,
creating crafts, in a welcoming environment.
Preschool
Programme:
This programme provides a structured early learning programme
for children from 2 to 5 years of age whose parents are registered
and attending English as a Second Language classes with the
Centre. The programme assists children to ease into kindergarten
classes with little or no anxiety.
School
Readiness: This programme provides children
from 2 to 6 years of age, new to the country opportunities
to develop language, early literacy, creative, cognitive,
sensory and motor skills to succeed in the school system.
Parents accompanying the children to the programme, and learn
about their childs development needs as well as acquiring
new skills or brushing up on existing skills.
Family
Drop-In: Family Drop-In program is designed for
children from 2 to 12 years of age. The programme aids children
to develop language, cognitive, sensory, creative and gross
motor skills development. This programme targets newcomer
children and their parents who have limited knowledge of English
language skills. While children are busy learning and creating,
parents are involved in workshops and seminars that develop
better parenting skills. Parents learn more about their childrens
development and are encouraged to use these techniques at
home in order to continue the growth of newly acquired skills
and at the same time fostering positive learning opportunities
for their children.
