COVID-19 Relief for Rexdale Fund: Message from the Executive Director
Coronavirus and the quarantine measures put in place to ensure the health of individuals has created unforeseen pressures and challenges across the country. For Rexdale, the challenges for vulnerable women, individuals and families, highlights the inequities of poverty and escalates the need for intervention and support.
Rexdale Women's Centre is assisting vulnerable women and their families to access much needed government supports and resources. We are working diligently to ensure our clients and community residents do not have to go hungry or go without the basic necessities such as personal hygiene products, baby food, and/or diapers.
Meeting the needs of our most vulnerable clients are central to Rexdale Women's Centre mission. Now more than ever, the welfare of our community's residents' is in jeopardy. Many of our single mothers with young children are unable to go shopping and need our help. Some women and seniors have mobility issues and cannot leave their homes to go shopping and/or their financial resources are limited.
Your donation to the COVID-19 Relief for Rexdale Fund will help directly support our most vulnerable women, seniors and their families by providing food and basic necessities directly to their homes.
Together we can make a real immediate difference in the lives of people in Rexdale during this unprecedented time.
